The Junior Order United American Mechanics National Orphan’s Home, known as the Jr. Home, was significant in American history as an example of self-contained residential institutions that flourished in latter 19th and early 20th century America. The Jr. Home was a place “associated with events that have made a significant contribution to the broad patterns of America’s history.”

Joe and Joan (Hart) Sexton will celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary on September 6, 2007.  The Sextons were married in the Ohio Memorial Church on the Home grounds in 1992.

Bill and Mary Brigman celebrated their 60th anniversary on August 18, 2006. 


Joseph and Joanna Buckley
Joseph and Joanna Buckley were married 60 years ago on June 29, 1946.  They have five children: Michael and Anthony, of Tiffin, Joseph of Republic, Andrea Jo Bernard of Hinckley, and Andrew, of Yorkville, IL.  They have nine grandchildren.


Frank and Ann Long
Frank and Ann Long celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 21, 2003.
