| From jrhome.org Letters from Homekids and Friends To my Homekid Brothers & Sisters I was privileged to spend the Labor Day Weekend with in Tiffin, OH: This past weekend has to rate as one of the best of my life. It had been over 60 years since I had seen or heard from any of you, but upon my arrival in Tiffin and meeting you at the reception, the years started melting away. There were no strangers there. We were able to go back in time with our memories. Who says you can’t go home again?!? I did and so did many of you. I had written on my calendar, when I found out I was going on August 31, “GOING HOME!!” and that’s what I did. Thank you all for helping me to realize a dream of mine. It was great renewing old friendships and seeing some of the places that were such a part of our early lives. Attending church in the church where I had attended for 13 years of my life was certainly a point of my visit. I am glad my sons John & Clayton were able and willing to come with me and meet so many of you. They, too, enjoyed their visit and I think they enjoyed watching the camaraderie between the Homekids. This trip just whetted my appetite for more contact with you all. Lord willing I’ll see you again next year, same time, same place. Take care till we meet again next year. Homekid Love, Martha Baker Nelson
